Alison Ochs is an
associate attorney at Davis & Cannon. She has been
with the firm since 2005. Alison’s area of focus is
civil trial practice with an emphasis on helping Wyoming’s
ranchers solve their legal problems. She also handles
trust and estate work, real estate transactions, contract
review, mineral development negotiations, and business
formations.
In 2005, Alison graduated from the University of Colorado
School of Law where she was Notes and Comments Editor for
the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and
Policy, a member of the CU Moot Court Team, winner of the
Carrigan Cup for Trial Advocacy and President of the Women’s
Law Caucus. She authored the casenote Glamis Gold Ltd.: A
Foreign United States Citizen?, 16:2 Colo. J. Int’l Envtl.
L. & Pol’y. (2005).
In 2007, the Casper Star Tribune recognized Alison as one of
Wyoming’s Forty Under 40 for her business accomplishments
and community service. Alison serves on the board of
directors for the Downtown Sheridan Assn., the Sheridan
Community Land Trust, Sheridan’s Academics for All
Committee, and the City of Sheridan Design Review Board.
In addition, she’s the Chairman of the Board for the
Sheridan Jaycees.
Alison is a native of Gillette, Wyoming where she attended
Campbell County High School. During college she
competed on the University of Wyoming rodeo team. When
she is not practicing law, Alison still finds time to ride
horses.
