Litigation

Davis & Cannon, LLP maintains an active and broad litigation practice. Our lawyers take pride in being able to quickly, aggressively and effectively represent clients in court when the need arises. Our experience varies from representation of individuals to business owners, to ranchers and landowners, and large corporations. Kim D. Cannon is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Kate M. Fox was recently recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a "local litigation star". Lawyers in both offices regularly appear in all Wyoming federal and state courts, representing clients with cases crossing a wide scope of issues. Our lawyers regularly serve as local counsel for out-of-state clients and are experienced at handling complex discovery and motions practice. Since several of our lawyers served as law clerks for Wyoming trial and appellate judges, we provide insight into the inner workings of our court system. Our attorneys also regularly appear and argue cases on appeal before the Wyoming Supreme Court and United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Our law firm has experience in a number of important litigation areas, including breach of contract disputes, personal injury claims and defense, real property and land use, employment discrimination claims and defenses, products liability, governmental claims, civil rights claim defense, construction claims and liens, and oil and gas royalty disputes.

We believe that litigation should stress realistic problem-solving and early efforts to identify and resolve legal disputes in a way that seeks to avoid the expense and time of a full trial. When full-scale litigation is required, our attorneys know how to aggressively represent you before Wyoming judges and juries across the state.
